BBC Good Food - Our favourite plates this month
Dum chicken biryani at Zaffron Kitchen, which we think is a flawless rendition of the Indian classic. We cut through the ghee-slicked baked dough cover (it helps to seal in all that flavour) to find a tender, juicy chicken thigh tucked snugly among grains of pillowy, spice-kissed basmati rice. Delicious.

The Sunday Times - Treats without heat
The Sunday Times - Indian restaurant Zaffron Kitchen tones down the spice levels in their dishes. While I enjoy Indian food very much, many of my Chinese friends do not. They complain of the strong spices such as aniseed and cardamom that are seldom used in the south Chinese cuisine they are familiar with.
